The Circuit Board is a global network of specialist communications consultants connected by years of shared experience and a passion for great work. The team consists of journalists, PR consultants, social media experts, content creators, and strategists. To kick off business, founder and Managing Partner Andrew Burton, approached us to design a visual brand identity for the network.
As the name of The Circuit Board happens to be quite figurative, there was a clear starting point to develop a visual concept. To take up the look and feel of the circuit board, we chose bold, primary colors and geometric shapes as the fundament of the identity's aesthetic. Furthermore, The Circuit Board was defined by wide-ranging expertise in the field of technology and lifestyle. To represent this orientation, we translated these fields into visual language. The hexagon shapes symbolize the technology extreme while the circle stands for the organic and lifestyle dimension. As a result, the logo's signet became the synthesis of both shapes - an overlapping hexagon and circle.
Through a kinetic exploration of circles and hexagons, we created different patterns that would serve as visuals for other brand assets. As result, a created the logo alongside a brand identity system, business cards, infographics and animations, keynote templates, and a website concept for The Circuit Board.
